How Do You Improve On a Classic Limiting Amp?

How do you improve on a classic? In the case of the MC77, Purple Audio began by re-creating the circuit schematic of the "E" revision of the most iconic solid-state limiting amplifier in history. Off to a great start, they then spec&＃39;d modern, high-performance components matched to the original, for a pristine all-discrete signal path. The MC77 matches the functionality and lightning-fast response time of the original, but goes further with sidechain and stereo linking functionality. Bottom line: the Purple Audio MC77 can be a major asset in your quest for better-sounding recordings.
