Compact in size, yet big on features andperformance, the Matsutec HP-528A is perfect Class B AIS transponder with GPSnavigator, This advance unit provides accurate and reliable position fixing andnavigator, it also provide automated AIS communication from ”Ship-to-Ship” and“Ship-to-Shore”, transmitting and receiving vessel, Voyage and safety relatedinformation. Own Vessel Voyage, Position and Course information isautomatically transmitted and the AIS information provided b other ships in thevicinity, Shore based station and AIS equipped aids to navigation is clearlydisplayed.

What is andAIS transponder?

An AIS transponder on your boat automaticallyreceives information broadcast by other AIS-equipped vessels and base stations,all while your own vessel’s static and dynamic information is beingtransmitted. AIS signal may reach where radar can not,  showing AIS-equipped vessels that mightotherwise be hidden, such as on the other side of an island or behind a largevessel, SOLAS commercial Class A AIS transponder, so you position will be knownby nearby large vessels, it will increase your safety at sea.
